In contrast to yesterday’s post, there is no business like show business, in today’s Star we see MASkargo being awarded the “BEST GLOBAL GROUND HANDLER” by Korean Air. Now this award is something to shout about. Well, I will let the article do the talking:
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airlines Cargo Sdn Bhd (MASkargo) was awarded the best global ground handler by Korean Air Cargo (KAC) recently.
Ok, so its Korean Air that has given the award. What credentials does Korean Air have to make the award worth anything?
KAC, the world’s largest air cargo carrier by volume handled, utilises MASkargo’s Advanced Cargo Centre (ACC) at the KL International Airport and Penang Cargo Centre (PCC) at the Penang International Airport for its freighter operations.
Well well well, they are they world’s largest air cargo operator so they must know what they are talking about and this is how IATA rates them:
KAC has been ranked by the International Air Transport Association as the world’s top commercial airline cargo operator since 2004. The cargo airline serves 41 destinations in 25 countries using a large fleet of B747 freighters.
Ong said this award was a testament to the efficient and world-class terminal handling service provided by MASkargo at ACC and PCC.
“The implementation of various service enhancement projects at all our cargo terminals system-wide, including adoption of international standards certification such as ISO9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001, has helped in ensuring a high-quality service.
Well done to Dato JJ Ong and and his team…… at least what you say you have done has really translated into results.
